What is COB LED strip light?

COB LED strip light is a flexible LED strip that mounts many LED chips directly on the board and covers them with a continuous phosphor layer, creating a smoother line of light than many traditional SMD strips. Buyers choose COB strips when visible dots are a problem in shallow aluminum profiles, display shelves, furniture, cabinets, retail interiors or decorative lines. The main sourcing variables are voltage, usually 12V or 24V, PCB width, wattage per meter, CCT or RGB/RGBW color, CRI, IP rating, cutting unit, adhesive, connector method and roll length. For project orders, the safest approval process is to test samples in the actual profile or installation distance, then record the exact model, color bin, waterproof version and packing requirement before bulk production.

Is 24V COB LED strip better than 12V?
